You're in for a treat man! If you end up digging this one definitely give Thresholds a listen also. It doesn't get quite as much love as this one but I'd say it's just as strong tbh

Everything on here is a jam but Neolithic is like a top 5 DM song for me. Such an awesome album.

discog walk; Holy Hell! this band is so good /fun to jam. Only started recently with the Nocturnus EP . Already impressed, probably gonna jump right into my top tier music artist.

Glad you're digging them! That EP is pretty great. Overall this one lands in my top 10 dm of all time for certain. It might even crack the top 5 tbh. It's just so damn timeless, classy and calculated. Thresholds is damn near neck and neck with it too.

Oh man I am AWFUL at ranking my favourites lol. But for dm, my picks would be pretty typical of the genre.

Off the top of my head, it would include this one, probably Unquestionable Presence, Human, Consuming Impulse, and some wildcard album I can't think of

Nice! I'm pretty bad at it too. Off top though I think I'd say

Autopsy- Mental Funeral

Cryptopsy- None So Vile

Gorguts- Erosion of Sanity

Gorement- The Ending Quest

Noctunus- The Key

That's not in any order and it hurts me to leave out stuff like

Suffocation- Pierced From Within

Morgue- Eroded Thoughts

Iniquity- Seredium

Skinless- Progression Towards Evil

Psycroptic- Scepter of the Ancients

Death- Leprosy/Human/ITP/SBG

Immolation- Here in After

Incantation- Mortal Throne of Nazarene

Atheist- Piece of Time

Darkthrone- Soulside Journey

Pestilence- Testimony

Frightmare- Bringing Back the Bloodshed

Augury- Fragmentary Evidence

Da Demelich

and a slew of other shit tbh. God I love me some dm lol

Oh man I'm glad you're gonna check it! It's a damn riff monster of an album. Their other album is right up there with it too. Easily my favorite Post 2000's death metal album with Fragmentary Evidence trailing right behind it. Comment when you've listened and lmk what you thought of it. One of my favorite albums to turn people onto because it's so slept on that it is insanity

Hell yeah! I feel like you're around They Were Warned rn and I feel like that album really hits it's stride right before that and then just never lets up. That album is a big part of the reason I decided to pick up a guitar along with Mr. schuldiner of course. Doesn't get any better than some nasty ass riffs with a solid drummer pushing them along
