The first time i heard this was in a room with other people and I was listening on headphones and I had to try really hard to contain my laughter and it was awkward

Yeah damn that sounds incredibly awkward hahaha took me a few times for this to click but once it did...

I can concede that this could be a bit of a marmite record - the vocals are certainly idiosyncratic and slightly harsh, even clumsy to some, but in its uniqueness I find magic; never heard anything like it. Sometimes I don't want to hear musical olympics on a guitar; a good strum with awesome lyrics can be enough.

This definitely took a while to click. First I found the chord structures fairly basic but the layering and flow of this album is god like. Plus there’s not a single uncatchy track.
Also Magnum’s voice is fucking awesome. No one else could pull that off.

Totally agree. I think that's the only record he could of ever made. It can sound limited to some, but sometimes limitations can create genius - this was one of those cases. I think even he knew that.

Opposite for me tbh. Loved this at first and it gradually grew way off me. His voice is like nails on a chalkboard. :[
