my favorite part is the pranks and overall dumb humor. and call me a sucker, but i also liked following the jim/pam storyline. it reminded me of a relationship i had, other than the getting married part and all.

The Jim/Pam storyline was great. It was interesting to watch it develop over the years.
The invidual episodes are good, but it's much better as a whole if you follow the storyline.

Eh, I still love it, it's different than it was but it still has great storylines.
Although that flashback one was pretty uneccessary, I agree.
The only Office that was meh for me was Season 3.

Almost all shows will run a "clip show" eventually. It's not because they couldn't think of anything funny, it's just a clip show. I don't like them anymore than you do, but they're kind of ubiquitous once and a while in television shows that have a whole schwack of seasons.
As far as quality control, season four was by far the worst. Ties, you have an unpopular opinion - as far as I know, most people think season 3 is the second best next to the second one. For me, it wasn't until the end of 5 and most of 6 before the show started picking up again.

either way, the fact that the office is slightly less funny now than it used to be hasn't changed it from being one of the best shows on tv.

Pretty much agree. I just hated the relationship problems between JD and Eliot, it got really annoying after the 10th time they broke up and got back together.
