I think I’m predisposed to like interludes on Metal albums. A lil gift to the delicate ears

First listen to this was amazing as well. Think I may like it more than pano, off initial listens anyway.

I gotta listen to some other ISIS albums. This one hits well sometimes, but I'm not as keen on it as most people seem to be

I had to get into some other post metal before I started appreciating these dudes. Once you hear a good bit (that you like), why these guys are referred to as awesome really makes sense. Hoping neurosis and much of cult of Luna now clicks for me. Good shit. And fuck these guys owned the 2000s

Yeah idk, love Neurosis and CoL, by all accounts this should blow my mind. I do get the urge to listen to it every so often so I think it'll click one day

“Carry” is so fucking good, the way the lady plays off Aaron feels very somber and mysterious

when "weight" is in g major toward the beginning = : )
when "weight" changes to b minor (or is f# minor? the chords are held so long that it seems to alternate) = : o
I know I said that two comments ago but I learned what the keys are so now it's even more in-depth analysis

I sort of wish it were higher in the mix because it’s SUCH a good melody but the lady vocals on “carry,” because of their low mixing, and “weight,” because of her disappearance and reappearance during the song and in both because of the particular tone of the lady’s voice are perfectly pitched to represent this sort of disembodied ideal of something (Beauty?) that gives it this equally epic sort of monumental scale emotionally as to when Aaron’s ripping it yessiree not to gas up that lady I’m sure she’s a regular gal
