Holy shit does Ptolemy Was Wrong ruin this record. I've never heard such a laughably bad song from a good band in my life. The music sounds cheesy enough, but the lyrical concept behind it is just mind numbingly stupid. They missed the mark hard on that one. Probably would be a 3.5 without that turd on the record for me, but still worse than its predecessors in just about every way.

Agreed to disagree! Ptolemy was wrong is one awesome song that contributes so much to the whole idea of the Album! And the composition of the song is genius... Agreed this is not metal but to me this is one of the songs that make this Album and the Band itself so great and unique! I Love that many people are just to dull to undestand it... so there might be a chance that there will be no hype although Pelagial will definitly make an Impact!

One of my favorite Albums! Why not give it a 5? It's been almost three years and I still find new stuff that I love about it... It's just genius and an epic 5 to me! And to everyone else: Keep on crying that it's not precambrian...

Out of all albums to 5 this is the one you pick. Every album of theirs shits on this considering this sucks. Precambrian and Fluxion are unbelievable on the other hand.

See and this is where I disagree! The concept is very well exicuted and one of the best concepts I've encountered! Firmament with it's intro is epic! So is metaphysic of the Hangman so is Epiphany and so is Swollowed by the earth! I don't have to begin with the Origin songs! So where exactly is this album suppossed to lack? Everyone is freaking hating ptolemy but I love it! It fits in perfectly and is a great contrast to the rest... Besides it is an incredible song for Piano and I love that orchestra shit more than anything! For away from beeing "their weakest effort"... And the voice?! I don't get how anyone could even remotly say its weak...
