for a second i totally thought illmitch was back until i saw the post dates up above lol

i think the origin of trap music (production wise) started with memphis. the triplet high hats and even the triplet rhyme bars. three 6 mafia was probably making it famous but the underground acts were similar.

everybody in atlanta calls the hood the trap, texas calls it the cut, etc
