So you're basically saying that it isn't long enough.
My Diamond Eyes review that I wrote is plenty longer, so I'm just waiting for a stream.

You just could have went in more depth, it comes to a rather abrupt end. What you have written is very good though.

You should add some more of what you liked about the album since there are some songs you obviously enjoyed. Expand upon the review a little more and you're golden.

I also lowered my rating after another listen.
Better?

Guitars sometimes sparkle in an uplifting way, while they also give headbanging-worthy climaxes. These moments are short-lived, however.
I would change that sentence to something like this.
The guitars sometimes sparkle in an uplifting way, while also giving way to headbang worthy climaxes however short-lived these moments are.
Just a suggestion tho.
Good stuff. Pos'd

That's just a style difference, really.
I need more votes yo (hopefully positives).

This is the first album I've heard by these guys and I liked it. Maybe if I came to this with any knowledge of their previous material I'd be disappointed, but on its own it's not bad.

Exactly -- by itself it's not that bad of an album, but it doesn't live up to the band's standards. Would've been better if they released it under another band name.

I think just people knowing that Robin was doing anything would get a lot of hype, since he basically is The Ocean.
Willie, you should seriously listen to their other stuff.

I mean, I only listened to the stream once but other than that terrible ballad ("Something was Wrong" - can't remember the the title) it was ok. Maybe only a 3, but not the mess the reviews here made me think it would be.

Not sure if they are letting their disappointment cloud their judgement or if they really think this sucks.
Either way, you know not to take Sputnik's word for something.

I'm just hoping Anthropocentric to be heavier than this, the Aeolian of the two discs.

I know I can take certain sputnik user's words for most things (although a lot of them have disappeared or are now using alts that I can't fucking keep track of)… but I don't know any of the three people that reviewed this so far. I think it's probably disappointment. Disappointment can make things sound a lot worse than they really are (I remember hating Bad Religion's Recipe for Hate for years, for example).
Anyway, I'm always open to suggestions. Which one of these guys' albums is the one to check out?

yea this album is radically different- i just listened to the albums back to back. I think PreCambrian has more of a technical merit but Heliocentric has an emotive beauty to it that PreCambrian didn't have.
