Yeah, this is definitely their worst, not considering the cover album

Evil Empire is a 3, but it has my favourite RATM song and one of my favourite songs of all time on it

I feel like there were many great songs off Evil Empire. I especially love Wind Below, Without a Face, and Down Rodeo.

But I feel like their debut was more significant; about any song off that album is a spectacular anthem in and of itself.

Evil Empire owns. I remember tripping balls one night with some friends when I first heard it back in 1996 and that intro to Revolver was the shit. Whole album is superb. Besides Bulls on Parade, which I think is most peoples favorite off it, there's something about Tire Me I love. I think it's Zach at his most vulnerable moment on the album.

I jammed the hell out of Battle of Los Angeles when it came out, but I don't spin it as much now. I actually spin Evil Empire the most, even though the debut to me is the better album and the more influential. Perhaps the sound of Evil Empire has held up a bit better over the years.

I definitely agree; I forgot to mention Tire Me. The entire album of Evil Empire just has a very dark and sinister feel to it, which I love. When it has crazy amounts of funk, it's still in a more brooding way. The album's just great in terms of atmosphere

Their self-titled only beats this by a margin.

Ashes in the Fall is my favorite Rage song to date.

"Sleep Now in the Fire" was my jam for a little while when I was 10, but I wasn't aware until relatively recently that it was a single.

And seeing as how I've been getting into RATM lately, I should give this album my first full listen soon...
