these guys know how to make post-rock. but they're missing something and i'm not sure what it is. i don't so much connect emotionally with their music. it doesn't really have any atmosphere either. maybe they don't use delay pedals enough or something, i don't remember, it's just a little flat and not so compelling compared to other post-rock bands. but the hooks and song structures and everything are pretty awesome. haven't listened to this in about a year though.

new albums out. first track is so delicate and gorgeous. really soft and stripped back with not many layers. sounds so vulnerable and sweet. listening to track 2 now.
