disagreed dude. it's not as consistently misanthropic as it's more about one's self expressed through some "pretentious" lyrics. not that straightforward either especially for 2003 and with all those constant change-ups and post-hardcore guitar leads all over each song. to me that's not brutal or them sounding like they're "trying to be". those were all those long forgotten death metal bands around that time.
