This is proof that the singles are some of the worst songs on the album. Obviously Greggers has never heard this, as he mentioned, before recently. If he had, it would have been Graduate, Semi Charmed Life, Jumper, and Hows It Going To Be. The only problem Greggers is Narcolepsy is way too low, thats the second best song here.

I'd never heard of these guys 'til this site, I don't think they were that big in the UK

All four of the singles were HUGE here in 97/98.

I loved being one of the only people who knew the album version of Semi-Charmed Life with the added bridge back in the day.

168 3EB plays in the last 3 days...pretty much says it all.

Nah jumper isn't the best. I love it though.

Yeah that personal shit will really hit for you. Same for me and The Gaslight Anthem's '59 Sound (the song). Fits perfectly with the situation I was in after my friend died in a car accident.

I hear you on the personal stuff. Motorcycle Drive By was basically a line by line soundtrack to my life when this came out, except for the locations (New York, the coast). Oddly enough, 12 years later, in an entirely different setting, the shit is still as real today as it was back then.

This is great after more listens, but this has this typical 'American' atmosphere that I often cannot completely give myself to. It may sound like a silly reason, but I just have this with some Amercian artists at times. If I fail to completely connect to it, it won't grow on me.

I can see these being a 5 for me in the near future

Great to hear that Greg.
Guess I kinda see what you're saying Nag, and it probably has something to do with not hearing this when you were younger. That is not the case for everyone, but definitely some people.

Yeah, this probably works wonders when it has more sentimental value. I'm already appreciating it more and more though. Motorcycle Drive By is fucking amazing.

"There's someone who understands you more than I do; a sadness I can't erase, all alone on your face."
Fucking beautiful.
