The vocals were better on Hell Songs imo. Plus that album had amazingly fun quotable lyrics. A combination of this style and screaming would be fucking awesome though.

their older stuff is grindy, this is pretty much metalcore.

Anyone else feel that the album goes somewhat downhill after about track 5 or 6? And why the hell won't the vocalist scream? He had such a crazy scream on Canada Songs (unless it was a different vocalist).

his cleans are part of what make this band who they are. i mean i haven't heard their other albums, but if the vocalist used harsh vocals this album wouldn't be so unique.

HOWEVER - New Daughters is FUCKING BRUTAL....in a really wierd, fucked up way...Bought it the day it came out. Cant stop listening to the awesome "Wailing Elvis Vocals" and the INSANE Drop F - sounding breakdowns. hahahaha

Still, "The Hit" sounds like a cross between CKY and Modest Mouse. hahaha. Still awesome in its own way though.
