Dave definitely lost it after Covenant, and was in the process of losing it on that record. I still like this though, Morbid Angel's last truly good record in my opinion.

Hahahaha sorry, just giving you a hard time like usual ; ). This isn't their best but it still trumps most of those new old-school dm bands who like to mimic this sound.

I like the groovy element of this album, I feel like it adds to the heaviness and sets it apart from the rest of Morbid Angel's early discography.

me too man. The diversity of songs on Covenant, the thrashy-ness of Altars and the doom/gloom of the early and middle segments of BAtS all give those discs more personality than most old-school dm albums.

oh and the lyrics suck, which is annoying because you can actually understand what DAve is going on about

Dominate is one of my favourite MA tracks thoiugh soooooo good
