tbh this album really just combines almost everything i love about anco which is why i think its my fav. like the first two songs feel as wild and unchained and fun as strawberry jam but even more psyched out, two snails on a sound and infant dressing table both have their hazy soundscapey textured sound but even more dense than any of their other material in that vein, too soon is really beautiful and mesmerizing like spirit and sung tongs, slippi has the pop structuring and energy of centipede and some of the more energetic songs on merriweather. it's seriously just like everything they've done in one but with more atmosphere and weirdness than they've ever had on any other album, its incredible

the atmosphere on here is really intriguing, same reason I love Sung Tongs. AnCo have always been great at building moods within their albums. i guess what's holding this back for me is that I feel like the soundscapey tracks, while interesting, don't really do enough for me. Just hasn't clicked with me I guess. On a side note, "Slippi" is absolute madness and I love it, one of my favorite AnCo tracks.
