I'm considering skipping all the way to Rather Ripped just because of that song lol, but otherwise I planned to mostly go in order
Well not really...
Order I heard SY's albums:
Heard Goo at like age 15 and didn't like it
Years later checked Daydream Nation and loved it, revisited Goo and liked it, then Sister, and then I went back to their debut EP and went in order from there until I got up to Dirty lol

"Heard Goo at like age 15 and didn't like it"
lol every high school should have a remedial club for people in this camp, bet it'd be put to good use
excepting a couple of bright spots, Rather Ripped is basically a watered down, jam-free version of the two albums before it so chronological will definitely set you up well for that
now I think about it, idk if I ever heard Experimental... in full. gonna have to fix this

Hey, I was a cool kid at 15. I was already obsessed with Zappa and Pixies
Okay not cool... more like nerdy as fuck, but in a musicy way? idk

Cross the Breeze is incredible. Damn my younger self was just a basic bitch for disliking this. It’s not even particularly unpalatable in its noisiness, to the point I literally cannot hear (now) what I could then. Weird.

Sometimes your brain really does change entirely. It's odd but interesting. When I was like 17 I didn't even like listening to albums that came out before the late 90's cause they "sounded too old." lmao
Silver Rocket might be the first SY song I really internalized. Kissability is probably one of my favorite songs of all time.

that back to back with The Sprawl is almost as good as the Sister opening duo. Kim is such a fking hero

Kim's definitely the coolest woman in rock n' roll. Not even up for debate.

listening right now. First two songs are boring as fuck. The sprawl is amazing and now I'm mid Cross The Breeze which is pretty amazing as well. Let's see if the quality stays like this

Teen Age Riot is great but way overblown within SY's discog

I found Teenage Riot to be totally bland. I already forgot how it sounded

I'd agree its popularity is overblown, but it's still an anthemic track with an anthemic riff and anthemic lyrics
