Man I would’ve killed to see them in a small venue. Literally got into these guys less than a week after they hit my city on OOUITK tour. They came back for the final tour and played the shittiest venue I’ve ever been to.
They were still incredible.

I had tickets to nights one and two, but I just couldn’t fucking afford a hotel in downtown New York, and I wasn’t about to drive from Missouri to New York in the middle of December. If it had been during the summer I totally would’ve gone and just slept in my fucking car

And they were supposed to play a festival near me with Soundgarden but Chris died two days before and it was canceled. Just a string of shit luck

There's a reason why Demon, because it rules. Also holy that the universe did not want you to see Dillinger buddy.

i saw them about a month before dissociation dropped, probably like their first week into the tour, one of the top5 live performances i've witnessed. i'd describe it as they had a strobe light going the entire show, and each flash of light the audience would be in a different position. they didn't play 43% burnt in full , they diid play room full of eyes tho

just starting to get into this band and I think it's safe to say that Converge will no longer be the only metalcore band that I regularly listen to
|
| |
@smash check my metalcore list if you're lookin for more frantic metallic hardcore similar to converge

thanks man. honestly it may never be one of my go-to genres, but I should check out some more considering how much I love Converge and what I've heard from these guys (although those are obviously two of the highest regarded bands in the genre)
|
| |
i feel that. i really hate most of the melodicore and breakdown-centric bands that have invaded the mainstream as of late. Bands like converge show that there's still hope for authentically heavy hardcore

yeah I pretty much associate the genre with those types of bands, but I know there are good ones out there
|
| |
i'd start with the roots. Integrity's first record fucking slays, early Earth Crisis stuff is amazing, and The Swarm's Parasitic Skies is personally my fav metallic hardcore record ever made so i rec that hard.

Employed to Serve if you’re looking for more modern shit, their new records probably gonna suck but their first two albums are amazing
Oathbreakers first album is kinda in the same vain too.

Damn straight.
Def not my favorite band or anything, but good god are they incredible live. Caught them and ‘68 in a small venue in Columbia, MO. It was one of the best shows I’ve ever witnessed. Jordan kicked me in the face, it was awesome.

On the train to the Daughters gig yesterday I listened to this album and it finally turned the switch to fucking 5 this. The lyrics are probably their strongest on this. Maybe along with Dissociation.
