Music is better taken straight, I think.

And yes, The Web is a great song, but dude, Script, Forgotten Sons, Chelsea Monday, I mean...

Edit; Oh, and you bumped your rating up...Nice, nice!

They're so different... Script is dark and risky, and Misplaced Childhood is catchy, safe, tight and a good pop prog experience. I like your new rating mate...

"more pop-oriented"

Exactly. This is a bad thing.

I like Incubus OK, but the rest naaah not really.

"Misplaced Childhood - a still more commercial vein. Try to listen to it starting with ''Lavender'', and tell me it's not a perfect album."

It's a hipster thing to say, but the more commercial they get, the more annoying I find them. I have listened to Lavender 100 times and I just pretend that at some point in the future (when I'm demented and put in a home) I will like it, so I can't rate it yet.

I probably won't - but I like the band so I'll spare them my 2.5 ratings.

But that's what neo-prog is all about!

@Egarran, start with ''Bitter Suite'' then, and tell me it's not a good album...And don't forget, Misplaced Childhood is more of progressive rock than pop.

As for Fugazi, we agree to disagree. It's always been a fantastic album to me. It may sound a bit pop at places, it maintains the influence of good old Genesis, as the marvelous Fish era tends to do.

Bitter Suite is nice and I like Misplaced better than Fugazi. To my ears a lot of the songs still end up pretentious.

Now I want to know what happened between 85 and 87, where they came down to earth and made the amazing Clutching at Straws.

Clutching is the one of the Fish era I've listened to the least. I'm listening to it atm. I still remember liking a lot ''Warm Wet Circles'', ''At that Time of the Night (Short Straw), ''White Russians'', ''Torch Song'' and ''Slainte Maht''. I think I prefer all the other Fish era's albums over Clutching.

Edit; album is fantastic finally. I now can't decide on which one of the big four is the greatest or the worst. Mission impossible.
