Really, open your ears. Very few bands (The Beatles come to mind) have never put out a bad album. Green Day isn't even in the same ballpark as The Beatles, and Green Day has clearly had albums that are sucktastic.

green day were cooler back in da day but there are good songs on this album such as: jesus of suburbia, holiday, boulevard of broken dreams and best of all: LETTERBOMB!!!

Then think about how long Green Day has been around... That's a huge diffrence.
I'm not saying they're better than the Beatles... and it's not fair to compare the two..

I hate Green Day because so much talent is there but they don't seem to want to being it out in their songwriting. I know it's only pop-punk, but I'd still like to hear some more complex stuff coming from them.

Get used to it. You can't expect a magical fairy land of flowers and puppies where everyone gets along and the birds sing lullabies to the winds.
Fact is, you're going to come across some very intelligent people (like me) and some very stupid ones. And 90% of them are going to be douchebags (again, like me). I'm not sure whether or not you said it out loud, but you typed it. Anyways when participating in the sputnik threads avoid mentioning a bands personal appearence, it's entirely irrelivent and makes you seem like a stupid fan girl. Unless, of course it's band like SOAD whose really ugly. Making fun of ugly people is valid.
