Nag is always harsh when he wants to be. I'm currently
on a Queensryche binge, so can't jam Sabbath yet.

black metal?? really?!?!

This album is terrible.
Ozzy is the worst Black Sabbath vocalist, if you can even call him that. Good thing they canned him and brought in Dio. The next album would be the band's best work.
This album gets a 1.5 only because of the title track, but even it drags on too long.

We all know that Ozzy's a bad singer, but his voice is so bad that sounds good (I'm talking about the classic Sabbath albums, not this) I think his voice was better than Dio's for the doom metal years of the band even when I prefer Dio overall

"Good thing they canned him and brought in Dio. The next album would be the band's best work."
At this point it probably was the right decision for Ozzy and Sabbath to go their seperate ways but Ozzy will always be Sabbath's best frontman. The first 6 albums with Ozzy are all superior to anything they did with Dio imo.

Lol at Dio Sabbath being better than Ozzy Sabbath.
Dio is technically a more proficient singer, a more interesting lyricist, and a more theatrical performer.
However...
Ozzy's albums with Sabbath transcend technicality. The chemistry, originality and pure joy of creation and delivery are on a level rarely reached in music.
Dio is a baoss, and the band was very focused during the albums they made with him, but the idea that those albums are better than classic Sabbath are laughable.
Btw, I have seen both of these incarnations of Black Sabbath live.
Sorry but Sabbath with Ozzy is over the moon.
