I've been to the year 3000

Not much has changed

But they lived underwater

And your great, great, great granddaughter

Is pretty fine

*Edit*: Ideally it would be like with ages. You're not 1 year old when you're born, you have to exist for a year and then you're 1, then you begin your 2nd year, but you're not considered 2 until your 2nd birthday. 2000 is not considered part of the 90s for all intents and purposes, it's the beginning of the 2000s just like 2010 is the beginning of the 2010s. This is how it should be and how society thinks of it (See next comment)

I did some research and it turns out either way of thinking can actually apply depending on the purpose. I guess there was no 0 AD even though in the past that's what I was told, but culturally most people think of decades as being 1970-1979 to mean the '70s, not 1971-1980, so for a lot of practical purposes it's widely considered that 2000-2009 is the 2000s and 2010-2019 is the 2010s because that's basically how society and our brains see it for the most part. Basically it didn't really start in the correct way for all this tracking of years to make perfect sense.

I hear ya, and it was interesting to learn cause I could've sworn that years were started like ages but I guess not technically

time aside, lets talk how amazing this is. i get a fugazi's argument vibe on some of the melodies. anyone hear that at all?

I dont really think that anything Fugazi did is too comparable to any Unwound album. They both are too far in their own lanes.

I guess In On the Kill Taker kinda comes close to what Unwound did but even then they still are way too different.

just some of the vocal melodies of that one album is all i was referring to. not lyrically or instrumentally

Disagree tbh, Unwound can basically be summarised as (Fugazi x Jesus Lizard) + (Spiderland x Sonic Youth), while obviously exceeding the sum of those parts
