^I agree with you this album is reall great, not their best but still great. I love the fact that classic rock is having a revival, I know 10 year olds who are listening to Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles and Pink Floyd.
A band like Led Zeppelin will be considered great 400 years from now and in a way become the new "Mozart"
My opinion anyway....
|
| |
no, Mozart will stay Mozart and still be appriciated the same. Led Zeppelin will stay Led Zeppelin and will have the same following. Led Zeppelin isn't liked anymore than it was before.
|
| |
Yes but it has a whole new generation of fans, so many bands die with their generation of listeners and are forever forgotten, I may found wrong 400 years from now, but I beleive that the innovators of modern music will still be remembered and enjoyed when we are long gone.

| |
well, if the Myans are right everyone will be gone by then...
|
| |
^I think the world will end before the end of this century!
|
| |
I believe they predicted 2012. man I better get laid by then.

Ideally you would want to be listening to "in my time of dying" while you are getting laid as the world ends
|
| |
^^Ha ha, yeah I better be laid by then.
2012 is a little too soon for my likeing, but didnt they say the world was going to end 2000?
|
| |
^^I wouldn't want to be listening to "in my time of dying" while getting laid, I would keep thinking of robert plant while he sings, all old and wrinkley.
|
| |
^The only songs good for being laid are instrumentals.

This is probably my favorite classic rock album, next to Steely Dan's "Aja." Everything about it is perfect

The defining album in Zeppelin's career. Might be argued that there's some filler-esque songs on disc 2. But they fit in with the album.

Best Zep album bar none. Mainly due to it being a double album, therefore more songs. Wonton Song owns.

An absolute classic, with even the small amount of filler seeming necessary in creating this amazing masterpiece.

A beautifully crafted masterpiece, this is. Zeppelin's best, really digging Kashmir.
