This album amazes me. These guys are right up my ally (as I play/love this music). Thanks for the Glass Gasket recommendation as well. "In Between The Sheets" is amazing and I love the end of it. I love this band and I like nearly EVERY song on this album. Stunning. And fantastic review br3ad man!

MADRIGAL - have you heard The Red chord? It is kind of like this genre but they tend to cut out the melodic parts, replacing them with eerie stuff and go all out brutal on you... I don't know whether you would dig it. You seem to be attracted to Glass Casket and BtBAM because of the melody.

Just a recommendation anyhow.

Great Review. I bought this album at Best Buy without really knowing much about them. My friend said they were one of his favorite bands so I gave them a listen and now I am hooked. This band is the band that I have been looking for. They have everything that I want in a band (amazing technical riffs, diverse, great sound).

The only thing that I disagree with in the review is the cons. There are no cons in this album.

I was exaggerating about there being no cons. Just a little hyperbole to show my love for this album. There are cons like Laser Speed. It's good for what it is, but I'm just not into jazz. Plus, the fact that it seemed like a joke song because it did not fit at all with the rest of the album.

I was just listening to them, and I decided to comment some more on Sputnik.

I have all but the covers album. So I figured why not just post in all of em/read all of em

I actually prefer their self titled CD over this. Not to say that this album is not utterly mezmerizing.

Just the self titled has killer songs throughout; one or two songs on here are not quite classics.

I decided to pick this album up and it is amazing. All Bodies is my favourite song here by far. Not very good lyrics though, but good vocal melodies. This Message Edited On 08.11.06

i've gotta say selkies:the endless obsession is pretty much brilliant my favorite on the whole album. i mean these guys are so damn talented, the range that they show on this song is nuts. from the death metal parts, to the singing, more melodic portions, these guys can do it all awesome album

theres really only silent circus, this, and their s/t. Their s/t is more straightforward metalcore. alaska is probably their most progressive, and silent circus focuses somewhere inbetween. The new version of the silent circus is amazing
