lol

I'd apologize, but, for the most part, I don't believe in them. Without repentance, apologies are empty. And I am not changing, because I can't change. If I could change myself, I'd make myself a perfect human being.

It's hard for me to talk to people. I'm an asshole, but I am not a total jerk. I tried the best I can to explain myself. I hope you can look past my tactless approach and just hear my message.

If you wanna hear awful mixing and mastering turn to Guetta - omg awful.

And I am a proponent for a reintroduction of dynamics. Digital doesn't have enough inherent headroom to cater for the way the music is being mastered onto CDs nowadays. And then came aloung mp3, which has backpeddled us another 10 years - depsite its convenience.

I think we are on the verge of another major change in the music industry, no different than vinyl was when it came, 8 tracks, cassettes, or CDs. My guess is the media will be a type of ROM in the form of USB thumb drives, that can store a large amount of 24bit-96khz high definition audio files. With the attention the loudness war has been getting I'm hoping by then it has been taken care of and music distribution enters a golden age.

What saddens me is the music that has been destroyed by this. You may disagree with me about what exactly has been destroyed, but some music has in fact been ruined by this. Deftones is one of my favorite bands and the fact their whole legacy suffers from this in one way or another pisses me off. I can't even get into newer rock/metal music because of this, because I know it will fatigue the hell out of my ears.

And I exaggerated this album for dramatic effect. This album doesn't sound bad at all, but their first two albums do sound better to me.

Why albums being mainstream have always got to be considered a 'bad' thing here, is a mystery to me. I wouldn't give two shits if it was mainstream or wasn't, it's got fuckin Firestarter and Breath on it? Rightfully belongs in the top 10 electronic albums of the 90's, absolutely everything on here fell together perfectly and i doubt Liam will ever write anything to top it

People don't knock something just because it's mainstream, they knock it when it's bad

On a sidenote - all the remixes for the 15th anniversary release are shiiiiiiiite

But Deviant would you say this is likely the best mainstream electronic album of that decade?
