The vox here are amazing though. I can understand why someone would be turned off but it’s a major part of what makes this special for me.

I think they're melodramatic and, to that effect, hilarious. however I can totally see how they would translate differently to different people.

The fact that this dude is really legally insane makes them terrifying for me. Idk I think maybe knowing the backstory a little bit adds to it too.

that's has little baring on how I experience the vocals, but I can see your point. Just as Syd Barrett's or Brian Wilson's insanity doesn't make me listen to their music differently.
