Thanks rasputin, nice to hear. And I realize it's a fine line with albums that are favorable on Sputnik- whether to be too pushy or too timid.

The cover of Two Suns is probably just part of some “indie” gimmick to make you think Bat For Lashes is eccentric or quirky, right? Wrong. Bat For Lashes is bat*** crazy, to be honest. For Two Suns she channeled her alter-ego, Pearl. As she whispers away about gypsies, lost love, and the Renaissance Fair or who knows what, I’m reminded that many of the best pieces of art have been created by eccentrics, so I can’t really hold this against Bat For Lashes. I do feel I can hold a little more of a gripe with her music, though.

The delicate and simple piano-centered songs like “Peace Of Mind” and “Moon and Moon” are dreary and emotionless

So, this seems like a quirkier version of St Vincent's Actor?

it's much more similar to florence and the machine than anything else

Actually, your reviews always make me want to stop procrastinating and check out new music. MOre so than others here on Sputnik. So keep it up.

This is the second best Female Voiced Indie group I've discovered recently. There's some really good stuff on here.

Wow i was really surprised and taken back by such the low rating. I stumbled across this album accidentally , saw the album cover on amazon and decided to give it a listen having no idea what this was. Im very glad i did because otherwise i probobly would never have heard of Bat for lashes music, as this style of music usually not my cup of tea.

Started out with the song "Pearls Dream" and thought it was really sublime and loved how the song ended with a fading out sort of effect instead of just chourus repeating. "Glass" is also a highlight for me and a nice way to start off the album.

I agree with the other guy saying there is a bit to much filler on here, tis true but not a major set-back by any means.

PS: (This was the first "new" music i had heard since getting out of jail for a few months so maybe the lack of any music and then hearing this made me a bit pre-dispositioned to automaticly fall in love with Bat for lashes? Hmm i dunno , its possible but probobly would have liked it just the same regardless.)
