I really, really want to like this, but I can't see it as not as living in Jokes' shadow. I'd appreciate it more if this was their only release.

I mean, like, it's still good and I can tell they were trying to go for a more focused, working-as-a-collective kind of sound, but I don't know, it was the total lack of restraint that made their first release so unique and enjoyable.

have you heard their demo? i just got it and it is interesting to hear the jokes material in development. the version of a conduit on the demo is probably better than the jokes version.
