Ok, using those criterion, tell me what song(s) by the other guitarist are better written, and why you think they're better written, than Ice Cream Man, or Running With the Devil, Aint Talkin Bout Love, Jamie's Cryin'.

Wow dude all I'm saying is Blackmore is a better guitarist than Eddie. It's purely opinion. You may worship Eddie all you want, but in my eyes, he is not as great as Blackmore.
Not that Eddie is bad, I think he's an incredible guitarist, but he's just not as good as others.
Dam why you being such a dilp today bro?

"Whoa dude, Hackett was way ahead of Eddie back then, always has been and always will be. Not to mention Hackett was the one who influenced what became one of Eddie's trademark playing techniques."
Actually, EVH credits Randy Resnick with the influence. But you're right, I was too harsh on Hackett.

@Lloyd, we were having a discussion on what constitutes great songwriting and great guitar-playing. It's nothing personal bro.

Yeah, but you're going way too far. I can't tell you "what song(s) by the other guitarist are better written" (btw, that should be "written better") because that is a subjective thing.

Eddie Van Halen is a very good guitar player but he's not even close to Blackmore's level imo.
