It’s a big step down for sure but I still love it and can understand why many have it as their favorite.

This is just ok to me. It starts really well (Marching, Soul) and ends really well (What Sarah Said, Brothers), but the middle is a formless bore (except for I Will Follow...). All the songs blur together and lack much identity. In short, it starts to all sound very similar.
Definitely my least fav DC so far (heard everything up to this except for the debut). Gonna give it a few more listens, see if it grows to a 3.5, but I doubt it’ll go higher than that. So far:

Interesting, ratings aside this is probably their most popular album by and large. I used to have it on a 3.5 but it’s grown with time - the only weak patch for me is tracks 6-8.

Id take this over transatlanticism. However id take the latter's demos (actual release) over this. Worth listening to if you havent.

I only recently caved and gave this the 4.5 it deserves. Any album with “What Sarah Said” deserves it. (Still only 4th best DCFC though.)

Always thought this was pretty boring, but the singles do rule hard.
And is it me who can't stand the kick pattern in Soul Meets Body?

Love this album. It doesn't have some of the stand out moments as past releases, but there's just something incredibly pleasant about this album. The melodies are also very catchy.
