Good man. The only hardcore review I've ever tried came out as a barely 3 paragraph pile of shit, so you've beat me at least.

I fully agree with Eric's notion of how dark this album truly is. This is an album that Al wrote (lyrically, at least) to convey mankind's obsession with death. This album is heavily focused around the concept of suicide and why we feel we need to be alive. There is barely anything "funny" about this album (besides superficial stuff such as song titles and goofy lead in's to songs).

In short, I know exactly what Eric is talking about when he says that this album "makes his hairs stand up on end". It is a beautifully crafted, interesting, and thoroughly gutteral album.

Good review!

The drums are hardly on the back burner. The intro to Under the Affluence?
