i have listened to SLF, can't remember what, but it didn't really hit me; haven't heard Crass tbh.
i think SP are incredibly powerful and literate, tho i can see why it sounds bogus for people outside the UK.

I was surprised to find out how bad this was. For such idols they sure couldn't make punk music worth a damn.
Also, the reviewer fails at punk. The appeal of punk is that it's unappealing. Rather than nice clean vocals and quality musicianship, you basically get a steaming pile of shit. Which this album wasn't even close to.
It's ironic how such a punk band was made by their image which was created by their manager.

This isn't as horrid as some people make it out to be or as glorious as punk fans say it is.

Review comes off a bit uppity, but I really like your writing style. However, even if the album is inconsistent (which I agree) does it seriously deserve a 2? Can a piss poor album really be a classic?

I've always said if you are not seriously knowledgeable about a subject you should be forbidden from having an opinion about it.
