The name and cover sucked, but it was a solid melodeath effort. I wish they'd write an EP or something of material that is hardcore in the vein of Full Imperial Collapse and This Will Outlive Us. I know they never will, but I think they are at their best when they are ferocious and more hardcore influenced.
Also, I just found out Paul, the bassist, left. That's two members in one year. Ouch.

No, this album is overrated because it is overrated, not because I don't like it as much. The song structures are dumbed down and John tries those shitty clean vocals. One listen to Demons and it's obvious they were trying to get a bigger audience. Full Imperial Collapse is one of my favorite songs they've ever written though and the title track owns.

It actually is a reason. They streamlined every aspect of their sound into something more accessible and people cling to it like gold when it's far from being the best they have ever done. That makes it overrated. Praise that is undeserved. I'm not even saying it's bad, fuck, but you go ahead and tell me I'm wrong because you said so and stuff, stupid fuck.

And yet here you are telling me my opinion is wrong. What makes yours more valid than mine? Nothing. You can't even argue my points. I say the song structures are simple and formulaic and you say LOL NO YOU ARE JUST STUPID. I say the vocals try to capture a broader audience and you say LOL NO YOU ARE JUST STUPID. The band themselves even admitted on their next album that they were not going to write another poppy melodic record to capture more fans and were going back to their aggressive roots.
