THIS ALBUM IS GREAT.



Sure it isn't eerie and doesn't have the dark ambiance of Bathory's early stuff, nor does it have the epic atmosphere of Bathory's Viking works. It does have some piss poor production, but it's defiantly energetic and exciting. There's a very clear 'fuck you' atmosphere about this album, something that maybe everyone missed. It might not be like the Bathory of yore, and I'd hardly call it an album I'd suggest someone to listen to to get into Bathory, but as a late 90s thrash album, Octagon has its merits.
