I’m gonna be the normie and say The Day I Tried to Live is mine but like 12/15 songs on this record are perfect so it’s not like it isn’t close

4th of July is the top one for me, but honestly can't go too wrong with most of the other choices either. But that one has such a doomy, apocalyptic atmosphere

Fresh Tendrils is a song so weird I wouldn't've thought humans could write it

Fresh Tendrils sounds like a really good b-side that makes you go "why didn't this make the album?" but it did make the album

I still marginally prefer this to Badmotorfinger, mostly because of the more emotional approach they took here. Badmotorfinger is amazing because of its aggression and punk influences, but the more draining and harrowing songs here just hit me every damn time

Badmotorfinger is more cathartic for me but both are classic

I think this album is just more consistent too. I love Badmotorfinger but the quality dips a bit after Jesus Christ Pose. The rest of the songs are still good, especially Room a Thousand Years Wide and Mind Riot, but they don’t live up to those first four tracks.

Somewhere and Searching with My Good Eye Closed are definitely the collective low point of Batmotorfinger for me, and when I'm listening to the entire album, it's kinda hard for me to get through them to finish the record sometimes. But luckily, everything before and after is so good that it's not such a big deal

I didn't like Searching with My Good Eye Closed at first but it really grew on me. My problem with Badmotorfinger is that it kinda peters out at the end. Holy Water and New Damage are still solid, but I think they're the weakest tracks on the album.

I like Holy Water but New Damage is straight up the worst song on the album

Man, Holy Water is at minimum a top 10 Soundgarden song for me... I agree New Damage is one of the weaker tracks on that album, although it's grown on me over the years

If Holy Water were the closer I’d straight up 5 it. New Damage is that album’s only flaw
