@pleb - idkkkkkk... this is definitely heavier, but i think s/t may riff a bit harder. "Big Guns"? "Piece of Me"? "Youth Gone Wild"? unbeatable imo.

t/t has some real serious bangers but as a whole, this album is waaaay better.

Hard agree for sure. There's like 7 songs on here that rule anything on S/T for me.

Monkey Business / Chain Gang / Quicksand Jesus specifically though, those are just on another level.

The top few songs on this can go toe to toe with pretty much everything. There's some semi-bullshit here but the best songs are incredible.

Yeah take your pick. In A Darkened Room is like a top 10 song ever. Quicksand Jesus just as good.

Great solo indeed. I remember reading that Dimebag loved that song a ton too.

Bach's on another level here vocally, not very many rock singers could match him back in SR's glory days.

Slaughter was pretty good, yeah. Stick it to Ya had some bangers for sure, but they were so silly sometimes that I imagine it would be difficult to turn them onto people now.

"She Wants More" is probably my favorite song from that album, but I can't imagine someone listening to it now and digging it unless they have a serious sense of humor and can appreciate the time period. Legit though, 5-7 great songs on that album.

That era had ridiculous vocalists. CJ Snare gets zero love and he was probably better than 95% of his peers. Tom Kiefer has the single most unique voice I've ever heard. Mark Slaughter's 4 octave range goes totally unappreciated.

Man, there are so many albums that have a low production. I think some of it is our perception, especially with the loudness wars of the present.

You are right tho...
