Great album but certainly not their best. It is without a doubt A Black Mile… One of the best albums of the past 10-15 years.

Yeah, this can’t touch Black Mile for me, but it’s still cool

IDK I guess I just feel like Andy Hull has the most emotive performance here and actually has a few lines that personally gut me. Like "you're the reason I love losing sleep" has to be the most loving and romantic line I've ever goddamn heard.

Also"when my dad died/the worms ate out both his eyes" is freakishly heartbreaking and morbid. Just a wildly emotional album imo.

This album is excellent as most of Manchester’s discog, but A Black Mile is on a whole other level…

@Dedes
That makes sense! Black Mile is one of those albums that has gotten tied to really emotional moments in my life, so it gets a big push from my personal connections, but i also just like it more. Andy’s vocals are hit or miss for me at times on here and the first few songs kind of annoy me on some listens.

Fair enough. I really dig Wolves at Night and Neighborhood is Bleeding but the first half is definitely weaker than the more hypnotic/melodramatic second half.
