Yeah, Lambs. You should really watch what you say. People might get hurt
|

don't suicide bro. One day we will have a crane tear your roof off and then we can lift you out and roll you to a beach so you can see San Tropez is 5/5.

And San Tropez is awesome, only Fearless is better
Are you seriously suggesting that San Tropez is better than Echoes?

Oh you fucking didn't, shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit

This is probably one of my most listened to Floyd albums along with Animals. I listen to it more than WYWH and Dark Side. Although I think WYWH is more deserving of a 5, I think from a personal standpoint this might be my second favourite Floyd album (behind Animals). At the moment anyway.

"Although I think WYWH is more deserving of a 5, I think from a personal standpoint this might be my second favourite Floyd album"
I've never understood why people say these kinds of things, like are you saying that objectively WYWH is better, but subjectively you like this more?
|
| |
Basically I'm saying at this point in time I enjoy this more than WYWH despite the fact that there are a few things preventing me from 5'ing this (two noticeably weaker tracks).

in that case yeah I kinda agree although I still love WYWH a lot more than this
still can't really get into A Pillow Of Winds, not sure why
|
| |
I might 5 this eventually though, as even those two tracks (you know which ones) don't really detract from the enjoyment I get from this. Their placement ahead of Echoes is the best place for them, especially regarding Seamus.
A Pillow of Winds is excellent imo. It provides the perfect contrast to the intense atmosphere of One of These Days.

lol of course I know which ones. That's cool man, Floyd could always use more 5s even though this album will never get one from me
I dunno Gilmour's voice is great as usual but in terms of composition it does nothing for me, melody- and lyric-wise there's just nothing that stands out to me about it

its so dreamy and lovely man! You're a huge Floyd fan so I know you'll learn to love it if you give it its chance. Just like Jamie said its nestled in a great spot, next time you play it just let it drift you away after the dark climax of the opening track and perhaps you'll start to dig it some more
now if you could give me some advice on how to better enjoy San Tropez, I'd appreciate it a lot haha

San Tropez pretty much pioneered gangsta rap. It's super laid back, and it's about chillin on top of the world with mad bills, sippin on gin n juice, blazin some grandaddy kush, and gettin with some hoes. It's the Gin N Juice of progressive rock
