This, colors, and Alaska flip around as best btbam for me. Tough choice tbh.

Same. This and Colors are essentially on par with each other, though this one is more polished as far as the songwriting is concerned.

Yea I’d say colors has some higher highs but this one is definitely more polished and less “random” than colors.

The songwriting is much more engaging and less random/boring/gratuitous here

Not for me. While I agree that this is more polished, the songs aren't as good. Nothing on here is as good as Sun, Ants, and White Walls. That's 40 minutes worth of music.

Yea it rules hard, I just really like the sound they had going here compared to all the spacier/sci-fi stuff they’ve been doing since. All their stuff is awesome regardless though.

Where's the love for Mirrors? Their best opener and one of their best songs in general.

Ziggity I hear ya, but I feel like they kind of abandoned the spacier stuff with the Automatas, no?

Agreed on mirrors being their best opener, and I’d say they mostly ditched the spacey stuff on automata barring a few tracks. I just really dig the country influence here and the fact that it’s really well done.
