yeh your cool, but seriously i dont like the weighted system. it basicly means that if you can get a few of your 15 buddies to vote the way you want then your review will be the one thats used. and that is just lame

I agree its not very fair to most people. But i guess thats the way it flows and the way everything organized. I guess you should speak to Damrod or Med.This Message Edited On 08.24.05

yeah great review. i didnt like the begging,at first, but i loved how you went with each song one by one. i cant imagen how hard that is to do and still keep the reader intersted.

Am a pretty big strokes fan and people always argue about how this album is a flop. you pretty much listed all my aruguments i make bac at them. Granted this isnt better that Is This It? but for the most part Room on Fire is a very solid album. A great beginging and a great end.

Keep up the good work

its always good to see some honest and intelligent reviews.

I didn't like this album as much as Is This It? and FIOE. Except for a few songs (Reptilia, 12:51, The End Has No End, and I Can't Win), it just feels average to me.

The Strokes have cool sound, no doubt about that, I really like their mix of near-clean guitars, distorted vocals and metronomic rhythm section, but I think they have one big problem: They can't really write songs. I bought this album, listened to it two or three times, and never again. In fact, the only 2 good songs were the singles, Reptilia and 12:51. The rest was boring and unremarkable.

I had a bizarre desire to buy this today when I saw it in the store. I'm listening now. I dig.
