Funny how "supergroups" like this churn out the most generic rock imaginable.
I'm glad I heard this for free.

Don't like Weiland? Scott's incredible! oh well.
Good album I think, sounds like STP with a bit of GnR here and there, its good sometimes.
I know we shouldn't compare supergroups to their former bands, but you know, the orginals are just better. (Soundgarden>>>Audioslave)
I can't stand RATM though. Or maybe I just can't stand de la Roche. This Message Edited On 11.18.06

wow. never thought of it like you said. yes it is generic, slash doesnt feel at home with most of the songs, and the lyrics are stupid. But Scott does need to slow down and stop singing so fast. If he would combine his grungy voice with the guitar and drum playing of GNR and Dave Kushner, this would have been a good album. Let's hope Libertad isn't anything like Contraband, and hope its as good as VR claims.

wow this review pretty much perfectly sums up the album

One of my favourite Supergroup albums

Ummm... At the moment I like VR more than GnR *Prepares to get ripped apart* Whilst I'm still alive I'd like to say good review, and since I'm about to die anyway I'll say that Axl Rose is really not a good vocalist, at least on Appetite For Destruction and this is much better for Slash since he's writing solos that fit the songs.

Just listened to the list for the first time since June 06 (according to itunes) and it brought back memories of when this was like my favorite album ever (when i was in like 5th grade mind you) but it's really solid. Kind of want to raise this to a 4.

Then raise it to a 4...
Definitley a solid album.

I thoroughly enjoy every song on here tbh. You've Got No Right probably my favorite right now, beautiful song right there. Slither is a very close second though, and I've really been loving Illegal I and Sucker Train Blues lately.

Album rules, as does Libertad.

It's the definition of a guilty-pleasure album. It's hard for me to be objective so I don't know what to rate it. Weiland sure knows how to write catchy verses. Headspace always rocks + nostalgia.

Yes I agree there are a few tracks that are just filler and I don't care for, but they aren't bad tracks, just boring and generic as was already said. But I don't understand how you say it doesn't feel like Slash is at home in Sucker Train Blues?? That's one of my favorite solos from him!
