This was definitely underwhelming.
The instrumental aspect is still kick ass, and Thomas still writes some sick guitar licks, but the way this is produced puts too much pressure on the vocals and they just can't hold the weight.
Not to mention the lyrics are his worst ever.
The lyrics were never amazing or anything, but really, most of these are just sophomoric bullshit.
They still put on a great live show though, that's for sure.

i think the first three songs on this album are really cool, and from there it just gets ugly...
i don't get the complaints about the vox on battleship graveyard, that song shows off the most impressive highs he's ever done, without sounding really gay like on the rest of the album. but people had the same complaints about seattlantis too and i also thought he was decent on that.

Walk of fame is by far the biggest disappointment of this album. It reminds you of how amazing this album couldve been, but alas, it's the only track worth a damn.

this album just clicked for me today. i will probably change my rating to a 3.5. i don't know why everyone hates that they mix pop in with their sound. i think it works pretty well, especially on single.

Argh i just don't know whether i quite like this or not. Its starts off well, and i'd say half the album is good, but the other half is so fucking awkward, why they do it to themselves is beyond me, go back to post hardcore please.
Plus Erak's voice isn't as bad as people oft say.
