I'm also surprised everyone hasn't bashed my review. I really don't think its a well written review, but I don't think its bad either. I can't really tell, because I wrote it.
Well yeah, thats what I think of Blackwater Park. I also want to do a few other Opeth albums including Morningrise(3.5-4) and MAYH(2-2.5). I really wish I was as into this band as other people are. Trust me, I'v tried.

You don't like Opeth, we get it. I'd like to know compared to what, how is this boring? Like straight up black metal?
The thing about the riffs is pretty ridiculous, and that seems to be your only gripe.

If you read the review you would know that the riffs on BWP are definitely NOT my only gripe. And my arguement about the riffs is not ridiculous, I just think they suck.

It might not be the only gripe, but its the main one. You mention the word 'riff' 7 times in your second paragraph, only once complimenting them. Then in the second paragraph, you go on to say how you dislike Mikeals playing, which is basically an extension of your problem with the riffs.
I really don't care that you dislike it, but maybe for your next negative review you should explain yourself a little better and take a little more time writing it.
And what about my other question... what do you compare this to to say its boring?
