i've listened to jane doe like twice and didn't hear anything special or even anything that would make me want to listen again. i heard a track off axe to fall that i kinda liked, but thats about it as far as me and converge go. i can't say they are overrated though since i really haven't put in any work with them.

I decided to give it a chance about 3 months ago(because sputnik insisted)excpecting it to suck. I was pleasently surprised, especially with the title track. I only tried to listen to it once since then and I received a migrene minute into the first song, I guess you just have to be in the right mood

its not just sputnik that loves it. decibel magazine i believe had it at number one on their best albums of 2000-2009 list. i just. don't. get it.

it takes many listens Emyay. Converge is an acquired taste. Listen to Axe to Fall first cause that one is way easier to get into, then go back and listen to JD. But yeah JD is there oddest and hardest to get into album, but thats part of what makes it so good

thats kind of what i figured which is why i hesitate to say its bad or that it sucks. its just tough because i have no desire to revisit, whereas other albums that are similarly hard to get into at least give me something that makes me want to go back. i will eventually though
