Best quote from when I saw them live:

"There are two things that HORSE the band loves.

Science....

and pussy."

The album is amazing but the change from Dash on bass to the new guy makes me sad in my trousers. I miss the bad ass basslines

"Strange album. Mechanical Hand and Natural Death had some catchy melodies, this one hasn't. Still it's rather interesting."

This doesnt even make sense.

This is by far the band's best release. I'm happy that they have shown their true potential, album is really awesome.

^^ to whoever mentioned Dash's absence, 100% agree with you on that. Although the new guy has a few interesting lines here and there he really doesn't have shit on Dash (at least on this record).

I could see why you'd say that. Dash was a crazy good bassist and was a huge part of what made A Natural Death such a tight and technical record. But Horse still managed to make an even better record with his absence. They never have been very attached to their rhythm sections.

They brought out the keyboard sections in place of the basslines so its all good.

The guy who did the bass here isn't in the band btw.

Wow. There is nothing "Weird Al-esque" about this band. But okay.

wasn't referring to the musical style at all hurp durp

i thought it'd be pretty obvious i was talking about the humor, they're essentially on the same level of maturity

EDIT: i was also referring to this, which was literally in the next god damn sentence

While they do sound interesting for awhile, ultimately their sound loses the effect it had on you during the first few listens, and they fade away into the endless list of "Bands that were cool at one point but I can't remember why anymore".

It's like if Jesus was a Nintendo loving multi instrumentalist. Who am I kidding? Jesus is a Nintendo loving multi instrumentalist.

I'm tempted to raise my rating to a 5. The last half of this album is so epic.
