How they haven't been sued for copyright infringement is beyond me.

(I'm assuming) that the two bands are friends. I know they have many connections, as a result of being from the same place. Texas In July are like right down the street from me (feel like I've already mentioned this but oh well), and the local Hot Topic and HT minions are all about them.

One of the members from TIJ is related to a member from ABR, so I don't think ABR would do anything.

probs gonna settle on a 1.5 for One Reality as opposed to a 2.

Sea, I know how you feel, if I say TIJ is a average band I get made fun of for liking shitty music, when most of them just like TIJ because they are from where we I am.

It's really that bad?

My main pt of review:
It's executed well in a few aspects but that doesn't make up for the fact that there's absolutely nothing original about the album, there's no reason to listen to it, there's no cognitive input by TIJ to the album, and it basically takes the term "generic metalcore" to a whole new level
I really don't care that "there's some cool riffs" or whatever because the whole premise of the album (there is none) is dumb.

It's not redefining at all, but I like it. The vocals are good too IMO.

I like Hook Line and Sinker, Aurora, Reflections, Elements and Lancaster.. in that order. Lancaster for that end breakdown which is simple but awesome

While I kinda get the ABR comparisons, a lot of metalcore bands these days take influence from them. But TIJ just has a different feel to them. Especially live.
