Unearth has too many breakdowns but Bleeding Through rules, yeah ok

So you're aware that they employ the breakdown and whiny vocals far less in their songs (Shadows Fall that is)?

Notice I never said anything close to "Bleeding Through rules" ...

No Shadow's Fall album is above a 3.5 (The Art Of Balance being their best), ATR has two good albums, and Bleeding Through has one great album and a discog full of stagnant garbage

Unearth has zero whiny vocals and Bleeding Through's albums are awash in generic breakdowns, so I don't know what you're getting at

I thought this and III were pretty awesome albums........to even mention Bleeding Through seems silly to me

"Unearth has zero whiny vocals"

Universal statements are difficult to prove true, but easy to prove false. All you need is one counterexample:

"Lie to Purify", starting at about 2:36 and onwards.

They aren't whiny vocals, they are just cleans by Ken who isn't a particularly good singer. Nothing about those cleans are "whiny"

Nasally timbre, mid-range tenor, emotional lyrics, sounds pretty whiny to me.

Anyways, this is besides the point. You guys are just butthurt because I pointed out some of the serious flaws in one of your favorite records by this artist.

Regardless, I still enjoyed the album, and I'll probably listen to it again sometime when I'm in the mood.

I never could get into the vocals for this band, but all other aspects of this album are so damn good.

I still say it's in the running for definitive metalcore album. Bloodlust is so heavy. Great dividers has to be one of, if not THE best metalcore song ever written.

Watchers of Rule is pretty great, too. It's the only other one I have heard from them, tho, but I like them both a lot.
