I really wish I met him this tour, he left early for doing something with his dad on Father's Day. I talked to Adam though and that was really nice/super chill but Davey is my god damn biggest influence/idol. Hero worship is unhealthy but god damn I need to meet this man and of course Jade and Hunter too.

Was just jamming this the other day and it has aged like a fine wine. Album slays.
AFI have always been amazing at breakdowns and also know how to make exciting endings to their songs. Medicate is a perfect example of this.

Agreed, although I thought the Medicate solo felt more earned. The Dancing Through Sunday solo is shred AF but its placement in the song felt a little more random in comparison

the Medicate solo is so fitting.
Jade's such a great guitarist but I feel like he limits himself with this band. Not in a bad way for AFI, the guitar is very appropriate for what it is, but I think he could do a lot in a more post-hardcore oriented project.

But it feels like there's only one take-away here, and that's that Davey is leaving. Being a long-time fan, I'm aware that this is extremely unlikely. So I'm not hyped, I'm just irritated by the apparent attempt to generate noise.
