If they play "Ignorance" or "Still Into You" I'd be over the moon.

Bumping this to a five. Been playing it a lot lately. May even bump the self-titled off its number one spot for me. Classic album.

I agree, album is a jam

This sounds like they wanted to make another album just like Riot and failed. How they have the same avg is beyond me.

(Addressing what you said in the other thread so we don't keep bumping both) This sounds like they were trying to write songs in the style of Riot, but they just didn't have the same life to them. Like they were too old to be writing pop-punk songs anymore. In this sense, you're right about this being more mature, but mature =/= better. This album doesn't feel genuine to me at all.

i feel like the lower energy is intentional, since of course they're older. they even addressed it in 'playing god' and 'ignorance'

It is, but I don't think it works in their favor.

i fully appreciate their maturity, even if it's at the cost of the energy displayed in riot. sure, it might not have as many jams, but it's more cohesive and focused

That's understandable. I've always thought pop-punk thrived in lack of cohesion, however. I guess it boils down to whether pop-punk bands want to go more toward the "pop" side, or more toward the "punk" side.

as a side note, this went the alt rock side, i've never really known how to describe their sound more accurately since imo there isn't any other band with the same sound as paramore
