I can't get into the album but the title track is stunning. The music video though really disturbs me on like 800 levels

They do. Use brackets [].

[ /quote] (Without the space between the bracket and the backslash).

No, they don't...see? :p

I have to say this is easily one of PL's most solid albums. Even Draconian Times peters out a little after Shadowkings.

On Draconian Times it was basically a carbon copy. Good album though...

It is a good album, because just the vocals are a carbon copy. The music on that album is still nothing like Metallica.

I know. I love the album. But I hear the Metallica vox on this one too. There is a bit on "Frailty" that reminds me of Trivium.

No way. That is one of my favorite songs on this album and I don't hear any Trivium.

Alright fuckers, I'm going to re-listen to that song right now. What exactly should I be listening for and at what part?

first a vocal line that is trivium then it turns into a trivium-esque riff with the vocal patterns on top of it.

i'm thinking shogun era trivium here.

note: i like that album so it's not a bad thing to me

I'm not hearing it. I think our times are messed up, though, because on my iPod at the 1:30 mark it's in the middle of the bridge and then goes into the black metalish part at 1:40... is that what you're talking about? If anything, the black metal part is similar to My Dying Bride's attempt at that same sound.

Vocals again at 54 sec in are definitely trivium influenced

I like Trivium too (especially Shogun), I'm just not hearing it at all.

Nope. Not hearing it at all. Throw on a Trivium song and try to compare it to those vocals.

I guess I'm just weird then.

Anyway, the title track is the best song for me now.

Those vocals you're referring to are too similar to their Shades of God album to be a Trivium influence (plus, again, I just don't hear the comparison anyway).

A lot of people seem to be into the title track. I like it and it's one of my favorites, but "Frailty" was just such a surprise that it took that top spot real quick.
