Define the Great Line is kinda weird in that it's a great album, and nothing Underoath has ever done has been within 3 points of it really. First two EPs are laughably bad, Changing of the Times is woefully cheesy and pretentious in both musical and production aspects, and They're Only Chasing Safety sounds like the Used with more screeching.

This. I haven't heard all of their first EPs, but what I have heard makes Soulja Boy sound listenable by comparison.

I finally found it. It's pretty cool. definitely not what I expected.

This album is so unpredictable and amazing. It is truly a masterpiece considering how interesting the song structure is. It is a heavy and epic achievement by this band, and it is slightly better than "Act Of Depression".

This is the way it goes best to worst IMO:
Define the Great Line
Cries of the Past
The Changing of Times
Act of Depression
They're Only Chasing Safety

God help you.
Decent album from a bunch of young dudes, a good listen if your fan of dallas taylor.
Hopefully Aaron will leave so there obligated to break up, cause Underoath has run its course.

I haven't heard this album fully yet but I do agree with Robots that The Changing Of Times is one of if not their finest work next with Define The Great Line.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? A FIVE! more like a .5 No matter what justice you try to give it, whether it true or not....it sucks big time.

Can I just say that while yeah the album is pretty good, the drumming is no where near 'amazing' as you put it;
It's all double bass and very little of anything else, bit more speed than technique to be honest, so i dont agree with you on that point at all.

this aint bad

Yeah good review man. Yeah about what you said about the bass, you need like really good headphones or speakers to notice it (I notice it through this). I have a mixer on my comp in which you can take the bass out of a song (not just the whole effect of the guitars, the actual bass guitar, its really awesome) and it sounds so much lighter and less dark. I did the same thing for all the songs on Plagues By The Devil Wears Prada and its completely different and less dramatic. Its amazing how with the bass, you cant really notice it when its there playing, but you can notice when it is gone.
