The biggest draw on every Brand New records is how an awesome lyricist Jesse Lacey is. Even though some could argue that he privileges rhymes and one lines instead of good songwriting (I strongly disagree, but I've heard this kind of argument before), it's completely out of question how TDGARIM, DE and YFW have better lyrics that this. I'm the kind of guy who loves DE better than TDGARIM, but I've never denied how much of a masterpiece TDGARIM is, because it is in fact a masterpiece.

OR maybe they write great music as well? You want amazing lyrics go read Shakespeare. Any band can have sick lyrics and shit music and guess what? The band sucks!

The fact that you like DE over TDAG (and think Daisy is their worst record) makes me wonder what kind of shit you listen to, and what's with these people and their gay love for Your Faggy Weapon? That album couldn't be any more stale and generic if its title was America's Choice Pop Punk CD

@StrizzMatik

I listen to "the kind of shit" Brand New were inspired by to record Daisy. The fact that I choose Deja instead of TDAG isn't because I think one is worse than another; it's because personally I choose Deja instead of TDAG. Both are masterpieces though.

Soco Amaretto Lime pwns this whole record.

Deja Entendu is good if you like 'mature' pop-punk.

jesse, wtf?!!!!!!!!

you guys used to be soooo sweet and beautiful with the way you'd sing your songs and lyrics and play the guitar. no you scream in like every song and its not the way your supposed to be. i'll always love my brand new but this is a confusing record. i don't know if bands check these things or not but i hope they read this and record their next album like the greatest album ever - THE DEVIL AND GOD ARE RAGING INSIDE ME!

Haha yeah, YFW and DE are both pop-punk. I would do The Devil & God, Daisy, then Deja, and if you're curious check out YFW and Fight off Your Demons.

After hearing like half the album, I'd say this album is going to be pretty good. I'll have to check the rest of it out when I get the chance.

I'd get Deja and go chronologically from there. Screw YFW, it's only worth listening to to see the progression.

This album is at about a 3.5 for me right now. I've only listened to it twice though and BN usually grows on me some I'm expecting to bump that up to a 4 soon.
